How to play Football Bingo
Football Bingo is the daily football bingo: a card of twelve squares — the same challenge for the whole world — and a queue of players that appear one at a time. Place each one in a square he fits, or skip. It is free, needs no sign-up and takes two minutes.
The rules, in 20 seconds
- Twelve squares. Club, country, position, debut decade or continent.
- One player at a time. The queue is the day's, the same for everyone, with 15 to 18 names.
- Place or skip. Skipping costs nothing — what is finite is the queue.
- One try per player. Wrong square, and the player is gone.
- A full card wins. If the queue runs out with squares open, your score is how many you filled.
The decision that makes the game: spend or save
A player who fits four squares is a resource. Spending him on the square almost anyone fills — "Forward", "Europe" — is the classic mistake: the hard square shows up later and the name that solved it is gone. On average each player in the queue fits two squares, so nearly every move is a choice, not an obligation.
The card always closes — that is checked, not promised
Every published day goes through a matching: there is a different player in the queue for each of the twelve squares. It is the same proof the Escalação uses for its eleven slots. If the queue runs out with squares open, the endgame shows a card that worked, with a name from today's queue in every square you left.
And nobody in the queue is a forced discard: every player offered fits at least one square. Skipping is always a choice, never a formality, because the generator refuses the day where it would not be.
Why the club square shows the country
Because there are two Liverpools (the English and the Uruguayan), two Américas and two Arsenals in football. A square saying only "Liverpool" would be guesswork, not a challenge — so the club square carries the crest and the country above.
Three strategies that work
- Start with the rare squares. If the player up next fits the hard club and also "Midfielder", spend him on the club: midfielders come back, that club does not.
- Count the queue. The header says which player you are on and how many are left — with little slack, skipping becomes a luxury.
- Any spell counts. The club square counts any spell of the career, loans included: our database records spells without splitting the type.
What is not a square
Trophies are not squares here, and the reason is honesty: our database keeps the biggest honour of each curated player, not the full list. Refusing a placement by trophy would mean saying "this player did not win it" — and that can be false. Until the full list of honours exists, trophy squares stay out.

When does the card change?
At midnight, in your device's local time. Everyone plays the same card and the same queue on the same day.
Is my progress saved?
It is, in your own browser — and separate from the other games: each one has its own stats and streak.
Does sharing give the answer away?
No. The text carries the card as coloured squares and the score: it shows which squares you filled, but not what they were nor who filled them.
