How to play Bingo Legends
Bingo Legends is Football Bingo with one restriction: the daily queue only brings players who have stopped playing. Twelve squares and a queue of legends, one at a time — place or skip, and each player is worth one try.
The rules, in 30 seconds
- The card is visible from the start. Twelve squares: club, country, position and debut decade.
- The queue brings one legend at a time, the same for the whole world.
- Place him in a square he fits, or skip. Skipping is free.
- Wrong square and the player is gone — one try each.
- Fill the twelve and you win. If the queue runs out with an empty square, the score is how many you placed.
The legend criterion, declared
"Legend" here is not an opinion: it is a player whose career our database closes ten years ago or more. His last recorded spell ended by 2016, and no spell of his is open. The ten-year cut exists because the data source often omits the end of a career — measured against the 702 players we curated by hand, the one-year cut would let active players in, and the ten-year cut misses none.
What changes from the original bingo
- The decade weighs more: two or three squares per card instead of one or two.
- The clubs are different: the cut leaves a third of the database, so the squad floor drops — and clubs that would never become a square in the original get in.
- There are fewer possible names, so the same players come back more often across the year. That is the price of playing only with those who have retired.
Frequently asked questions
My favourite player is missing. Why?
Either he is still active, or his career record is open in our database — and in that case we would rather leave him out than assert what we do not know.

It is, in your own browser, and separate from the other games in the hub.
