How to play Four Clubs
Four Clubs is the daily game of guessing a player by his career: four clubs he played for — out of chronological order — and four tries. The player is the same for the whole world, it is free and it takes a minute.
The rules, in 20 seconds
- The first club is free. It is on screen before your first guess.
- Guess a name from the list. Type and pick from the suggestions — free text is not a guess.
- Every miss opens the next club. Four in total.
- Four tries. Get it and the day ends; miss all four and the screen shows who it was.
The order of the clubs is not the order of the career
The four clubs appear from the least known to the best known, not from the first to the last of the career. That is on purpose: chronology is what Craque Oculto does — there the career is revealed in order and the story tightens. Here what is left is the combination, and that is why four clubs are enough.
The ramp is also what makes the day fair: the first clue is the spell few remember, and the last one is the big club — the one that saves whoever recognised none of the others.
Loans count, and the years do not show
A spell is a spell: if the player was there on loan, that club can be one of the four clues. Our database records spells without splitting loan from permanent deal, and refusing one would be refusing a true fact — the same rule as Escalação Clubes and Football Bingo. The years of each spell stay out: with them, the career would rebuild itself.
Three strategies that work
- Start from the odd link. The first clue is usually the short spell or the small club — it is what separates knowing the career from knowing the player.
- Add the clues, don't swap them. The four clubs stay on screen: whoever played for the first two is already a short list.
- Guess names you are sure passed through the club on screen. A miss costs no clue — it costs a try, and there are four.
The player does not repeat across games
Four Clubs, Craque Oculto and Football Wordle draw from the same players. So that playing two does not give away the third, the draw keeps 60 days of distance on each side: today's player here is not the answer in Craque Oculto or Wordle within that window.

At midnight, in your device's local time. Everyone plays the same player on the same day.
Is my progress saved?
It is, in your own browser — and separate from the other games: each one has its own stats and streak.
Does sharing give the answer away?
No. The text carries one square per try and the score: it shows in how many clubs you found him, but not who he was nor where he played.
