How to play Football Pyramid

Football Pyramid is the daily ordering game: ten players, one ranking category, and a pyramid of four layers — 1, 2, 3 and 4 slots, top to base. The top is the highest number.

How it is played, without dragging

  1. One player at a time. Tap the layer where you think he belongs.
  2. With all ten placed, swap. Tap one player and then another: they change places. As many times as you want.
  3. Check. The game reveals the numbers and counts how many landed in the right layer.

There is no dragging in this game, and that is deliberate: on a phone, dragging is the hardest gesture to get right — small target, scrolling competing — and the worst to make accessible. Tapping works for everyone, keyboard and screen reader included.

A layer is a band

Inside a layer, order does not matter: the two in the second layer count in either order. That is not generosity — it is what stops the game from charging you for an order a tie would make arbitrary.

And when a tie would cross the border between two layers — third and fourth with the same number — the category does not enter the calendar. You would land in the wrong layer by chance, and that is not a game.

Frequently asked questions

When does the pyramid change?

At midnight, in your device's local time. Everyone plays the same pyramid on the same day.

Is my progress saved?

It is, in your own browser — including a pyramid you started — and separate from the other games.

Is there another game with these numbers?

There is: Football Top 10, which uses the same categories and asks who is on the list instead of in what order.
