Football Top 10 — complete the list of ten

Every day a ranking category — most international caps, most club goals in a career — and ten slots to fill. You type names; each correct one appears in the right position, with the number that puts the player there. There is no limit on guesses, and your score is how many of the ten you found. The numbers come from our pipeline, with the reference date shown on screen. Free, no sign-up, in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

How to play Football Top 10

Football Top 10 is the daily ranking game: a category at the top and ten slots below. You type names, and each hit lands in the right slot with the number that puts that player there. No limit on tries.

The categories that show up

Every category is a closed slice — "Brazil (men)", "1990s (men)" — and never "the greatest of all time": that is a list our database cannot sustain, and claiming what cannot be sustained is what this project does not do.

Why the date is on the screen

Statistics age. A retired player's club does not change; the goals of an active one change every week. That is why the top of the screen says "numbers up to 2026-08-18": it is the date our pipeline fetched them, and it is what lets the list be checked without argument.

The rule that avoids unfairness

If tenth and eleventh had the same number, the list would be arbitrary — and the game would say "not on the list" to a name as right as the one that is. A category with a tie at the door is not used.
